CORONA VIRUS - that word has been haunting our DMs and newsfeed for over a week now. I have a lot to say on the issue but I’ll just say this - “DON’T FOLLOW THE HERD” isn’t just a phrase you choose while picking offbeat travel destinations. It’s a mentality and a lifestyle, more relevant than ever, in situations like COVID19. So we would URGE you not to believe everything everyone says or give in to the hysteria and misinformation floating about at the minute. Here are a few things to keep in mind 😊💚💚 ✨ ✨ *1. ‪ Take precautions such as using hand sanitisers, avoiding extremely-crowded places, and maintaining hygiene 💚‬ * 2. ‪We know a lot of you have holidays already booked and paid for! Unfortunately, we cannot advise you whether or not you should go ahead with those. However after much reading and research, we’ve decided not to cancel our travels this month. Whatever you choose to do, please base it on hard facts and not on myths 💚‬ * 3.‪ Barring a couple of Asian & European countries, most countries are SAFE to travel to right now .You will be as safe or unsafe there as you would be in your home country. In fact if you live in a populated city, you’re probably safer travelling than not travelling 💚‬ * 4. ‪ Don’t give in to MISINFORMATION spread only for short-term gains by certain people. For eg. most masks can’t prevent the virus from being transmitted, so wearing overpriced masks is futile 💚‬ * 5. By stockpiling supplies like food or hand sanitizers, you’re only driving up costs for less fortunate people who can’t afford these things 💚‬ * 6. Conduct yourself RESPONSIBLY. Set an example by reading more about the virus and educating yourself instead of spreading panic based on half-truths and WhatsApp forwards 💚 ‬✨‬ ‪✨‬ Caution is important but panic is unnecessary & more importantly, futile. Stay safe and stay healthy y’all 💚💚

The narrative of my life would be different without her 💚💚 It’s International Women’s day today & to be completely honest, it’s a bit amusing to see it become an excuse for companies to peddle sales! BUT it’s also important to have this day. As a boy, I see women around me are subject to dozens of injustices & even violence on a DAILY basis It will take a long time to reverse centuries of patriarchy. But days like today are a little reminder for all of us to question discrimination against women. Here are 4 ways in which we can all bring about a CHANGE😊💚💚 ✨ ✨ *1. ‪ Raise daughters who are intelligent, confident, financially independent and not afraid to raise their voice against injustice 💚‬ * 2. ‪ ‪Nurture boys who aren’t entitled. Boys who know it’s ok to cry. Most importantly, stop using that idiotic phrase “boys will be boys” to justify irrational behaviour & start holding men responsible for their actions💚‬ * 3.‪ Question double standards in your daily life & when you consume pop culture. For instance teenage girls are constantly told how to conduct themselves but teenage boys can get away with a lot more! Topless men are ok but topless women are controversial! Assertive men are likeable but assertive women are not. Err what? Think twice before SUPPORTING shows, films, or laughing at whatsapp jokes that promote these double standards 💚‬ * 4. ‪ ‪Practice TRUE equality not superficial equality. Don’t just pay lip service to gender equality by buying a Women’s Day gift for your moms & wives or helping out on a special day or two. Superficial equality is the WORST kind of hypocrisy there is! 😬 Instead, share responsibilities EVERYDAY of your lives - be it cooking, running the house, bringing up kids, earning, or fulfilling dreams. Happy relationships thrive on friendship & gratitude not stereotypes 💚💚 ‬✨‬ ‪✨ It’s time to BLUR those lines because only true equality can lead to true happiness, for both men and women. Thought we’d pen these 4 reminders here today so we can all toast to a future which won’t NEED a Women’s day, because women will be celebrated EVERY single day, as they deserve to be! 🥂💚💚 ✨ ✨ #bruisedpassports #internationalwomensday

Meet me where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea 🌍💙💙 We’ve been using public transport on all the islands we’ve visited so far (details on everything coming soon!) but finally decided to pick a car for an impromptu drive around the island of St Kitts. We’ve encountered some stunning views in the Caribbean, but THIS pit-stop, with the Atlantic Ocean on the left and the Caribbean Sea on the right, rimmed by a garland of mountains, had me completely smitten. These roads, this VIEW 🙈💙💙

“We were together, I forget the rest” 🌍💙💙Walt Whitman’s words have kept coming back to me during the last few days 📖 After the carnival madness, endless music, & street parties, we sought STILLNESS! And spent the last few days in the tiniest country we’ve ever visited - Antigua! The island is just 11 miles wide and rimmed with THE most pristine & deserted beaches I’ve ever seen - with a view like this (boy & all!) & the fragrance of the sea, can you blame me for forgetting?! 🌍💙💙 ✨ ✨ #bruisedpassports #caribbean

It’s Carnival time baby! 🌈💜💜 It’s Carnival season in the Caribbean & we decided to go offbeat & spend it on a group of islands called Guadeloupe. It might be one of the tiniest islands we’ve ever visited but what Guadeloupe lacks in size, it makes up in character and smiles! The island is dotted with gorgeous views, old buildings, and beaches but it’s the crazy street parties that are the highlight during Carnival season - an absolute riot of colour, music, and THAT glitter 🌈💜💜 #bruisedpassports #travel #love #caribbean
